TOP FIVE CAPOEIRA WEBSITES

Posted on 29 November 2012 by chan

This article has been a long overdue one.
I am sure as time progresses, many new capoeira websites will pop up and become bigger better and stronger, but for now these are my top five for content, information and quality. click on the orange title to go to check out their page!

1. CAPOEIRA CONNECTION
hands down, this website is awesome! the amount of quality information on all things capoeira is superb! Shayna McHugh has made many important contributions to translating and sharing priceless information to the wider capoeira community. From music, to history to movement, this website is a must for anyone who is getting serious about capoeira.

2.CAPOEIRA LYRICS WEBSITE
This website is dedicated to capoeira songs, it has a great list of songs with links to videos and audio and also with many written songs with translations.
many websites have capoeira lyrics, but this one has lyrics, videos and audio which I think is awesome!

3. RODA MAGAZINE
definately more of a commercial website, but it is definately a great one to check out. Some great articles and really keeps you feeling like capoeira is a really cool thing to do. Great energy and axe on this website.

4.DUO-LINGO

not really a strictly capoeira website, but definately important for anyone who is getting into capoeira. Without the language you really do limit your learning capacity. Duo lingo is fun, free and challenging. Give it a go!

5. THE CAPOEIRA BLOG
The capoeira blog I think is a great resource for people who are just getting into capoeira and want to know a little bit more information without being overwhelmed with too much information. Easy to find information that has a great perspective on capoeira.

So many other websites to explore and discover, but at least this will get you started. I didn’t want to list the obvious but check out youtube and vimeo for countless amounts of videos. Axe!
