hi, can you tell me what kind of style, regional or angola, Soul capoeira uses and why? thanks
J

predominately regional.
Mainly because that is the style I have been exposed to the most.
I love angola, but I have not trained enough to warrant teaching it.

Hi,
Just wanting to know what kind of level of fitness you need to start, and if weight is an issue. Also, if it is beneficial to do beginner martial arts first, as my sister and I want to join, but we have no martial arts training.
Thanks!

hey,
i want to start some classes but i have no experience in martial arts… should i be doing something before hand to start and learn some techniques first???
February 22nd, 2010 at 1:30 am
hey erin,
no you dont need any experience in martial arts. If you are able to find a good instructor, they will be able to provide the neccassary progressions from someone who has no experience at all!

Hey there Chan (:
I’ve been dancing for 10 years, (ballet, tap, jazz etc)
Earlier this year you taught classes at SACE dance day, I did your morning class, and I absolutely loved it!
I’ve been thinking since then about taking it up, as I think I would really enjoy it.
I have couple of questions though,
Do you believe that this would interfere with my muscle development for ballet etc?
And also, is the $60 annual fee all you have to pay for the whole year? And I’m assuming that’s to do one class a week.
cheers.

Hi Chan,
My husband and I are coming to Adelaide from Darwin for Womad and were keen to do a class while we were in town. Are you guys doing anything as part of Womad? Do you have anything happening on the weekend, like a roda?
We train a bit up here and don’t have many opportunities to train and play with others. I did a class with you a few years ago during a visit and it was great.
Cheers
